BIOGRAPHY

“Papa K,” as students fondly called you —
I was privileged to serve as your caregiver for four years. I walked that path with you as a seminarian, as a deacon, and during the first two months of my priestly life.

You were a man who believed deeply in holiness of life. You detached yourself from anything that contradicted our Vincentian values. Truly, you were a living saint, and the priesthood of Christ found visible expression in you.

Your presence at the COVIAM Theologate House was a blessing to all — both students and priests alike. You radiated peace, wisdom, and gentle strength. I remember you promised to see me again when I returned from my first missionary experience, but God chose the path that was best for you. To Him be all glory.

You were a man of immense gratitude. You appreciated every small act of kindness, especially when we brought you Holy Communion. This virtue of gratitude endeared you to the nurses and doctors at Niger Optical and Mother of Christ Hospital — they were always eager to attend to you whenever you came for a check-up.

Papa K, we love you — and I, in particular, will forever carry your memory in my heart.

Goodbye here on earth, and good morning in heaven!
